The Firm Update by Derek Landis

The Normandy team hopes you and your families are safe and healthy through these uncharted times. Fortunately, we are feeling healthy and eager to get back into the office to best serve you. With

the stay at home order being lifted in Jefferson County as of May 9th we plan on going into the office as needed beginning Wednesday, May 13th. We will be available for in-person client meetings, by appointment only, to best control the number of people in the office at one time. Keep in mind we will still provide WebEx video and teleconference reviews if you would prefer not to come into the office.

Of course, our greatest priority and main concern in reopening our office is the safety of our clients and employees. We will adhere to the safety guidelines set by the CDC and state authorities as we implement our reopening. These safety measures include wearing a mask when meeting in person, practicing social distancing, and increased cleaning and sanitizing measures of high touch areas. Our employees will check their temperature daily before coming in and are under a strict order, that if they are not feeling well, to stay at home until they are back on their feet and not showing any symptoms of COVID-19. Likewise, we encourage and ask our clients not to make or come in for appointments if they are not feeling well.

As many of you know through the last 6 weeks and throughout the stay at home order, we were fully operational. We will continue to be so and encourage you to contact us if you have any questions, or if you have need to make any change in your planning. We have found that video conferencing is a safe and secure method of communication which allows us to accomplish a great deal. So, when an “in-person” meeting is not necessary, we will continue to suggest WebEx & teleconference meetings instead. Again, we are available for meetings “in-person” and will provide that opportunity if you would prefer. Face to face visits and meetings are what our associates enjoy most. Still, we are concerned for the safety of everyone who may visit our offices away from home in the coming days and weeks. As we navigate our way through reopening, please count on us to practice the appropriate measures to comply with State and Federal protocols. We will work to the best of our ability to do our part to slow the spread of COVID-19. We look forward to the day where we can all resume our normal lifestyles.

Having worked from home the last few weeks we are seeing the world rely on digital communications more than ever before. Normandy strives to have every available line of communication open so we can provide timely updates and responses for our clients. You may have noticed recently that the Normandy team sent you an email regarding the CARES Act. Further, we will be emailing our clients with our monthly blog along with any other pertinent information that helps them to remain informed.

During our recent attempt in communicating with our clients utilizing an email format we learned that some recipients had spam blockers that recognized our communication as spam. As such, some spam blockers may be going above and beyond the call of duty for you! If you did not receive an email from us last month you may be in this category. We noticed that our clients with aol.com emails, had a higher number of bounces. If you missed our recent update and would like to receive email correspondence from our team going forward, please go to your spam folder in your email, search “Normandy”, right-click and unblock us from being categorized as spam on your system. If you would like assistance with this, you can call Derek Landis (303-893-8700 Ext. 6) or Charles Partheymuller (303-893-8700 Ext. 5) and we will assist you with accomplishing this. We believe it is imperative to keep our clients up to date with relevant information and we see communications such as these as important and efficient tools for doing so.

Utilizing this “digital front” Normandy has begun a social media presence. Normandy’s LinkedIn page is up and running and we will be unveiling our Facebook and Twitter pages shortly. If you currently utilize any of these social media platforms and want to see the value Normandy is adding feel free to follow, like, or add us. You can currently follow our LinkedIn page at “The Normandy Group Investment Advisory Firm”. We utilize these platforms to share content that can be helpful to our clients and followers.

If you do not utilize any of these social media platforms there is no need to feel left out, you can stay current with our blog by simply going to our webpage www.normandygroup.com, and by hovering over the “Insights” tab on the top right-hand side of the page, then clicking the “Our Blog” tab in the dropdown menu. This will allow you to see a library of Normandy’s blog articles. We will also continue to mail our quarterly newsletter, which we have provided for years. All our current practices will remain in place as
we add these communication platforms. We see these digital avenues as a way to better serve a portion of our clients as we make ourselves available through any platform that is fitting.

As always, thank you for your continued confidence and trust through these years. We as a firm continue to grow, and we are here to help you plot your financial course to the other side of this pandemic. Our goal is to always serve our clients in ways that make them feel important, confident, safe, and comfortable.

Please reach out to us with any questions as we are here to be of service.

Thank you,

Derek Landis
